The Days & Nights of the Lipstick Librarian!: Librarian Niblets

As a public service for the new year, I give you semi-interesting librarian tidbits:

Marian the Librarian has been officially added to the National Film Registry. And it looks like she has interesting company.
Libraries: 2006's celeb aesthete touchstone? Last year it was Brad Pitt and his peculiar obsession with architecture. This year we learn (courtesy of the January 2nd issue of In Touch Weekly) that if Sarah Jessica Parker were the richest woman in NYC, she'd save every shut-down library within city limits. Guess we shouldn't be surprised--some of us suspected she's been playing librarian in her closet.
